Situation Report
Perimeter Intrusion 902-17
Agent Name: Rekka Ngosem
Agent ID: O14
Agent Rank: Site Director
Subject(s) ID: Hall Object(s) ID: 902-17a, Caches 1-7*
Internal ID: Entity 902-17/E902-17
Response: 902-17 and 902-17a were apprehended, contained separately, and remanded to custody
of Atlas Island Sanctuary.
Containment Incidents: 19 Severity: Minor, Subminor
Subject Details: 902-17 is an anthropomorphic female anatomically similar to the Herbalist Orkidean subtype. Notably, 902-17 possesses several anomalous markings and an object identified as 902-17a. 902-17 claims to be the Herbalist Attaché to an Exploratory Mission designated Lungfish Armadillo. Preliminary research into BSEZ Archives show no mission of that designation. Conclusions from staff are mixed, with some giving credence to 902-17's story of experiencing a severe spaciotemporal distortion event. However, current research from ASCR has determined that even Ensemble Storms of strengths beyond that described by subject lack the potential to displace information in time. Models of such causality-breaking phenomena are inconsistent with current observations of 902-17.
Additionally, 902-17’s memory is heavily fragmented and disjointed. Requests for concrete details about subject's mission, including designation, were met with psychological resistance. On-call Herbalist Dreamcasters were able to extract some information, although its nature has been largely contradictory, incoherent, or indecipherable.
Object Details: Object 902-17a is a bag of Orkidean design. Material analysis conclusively shows it is neither of Herbalist make, nor of the same substance of Orkidean bags. Besides this, Object 902-17a possesses other anomalous properties, including a pocket infinity of abnormal size, and a roughly 32% reduction in response to gravity as well as complete invulnerability to fire. Exploratory Team 68301, Designation Amarillo Lostfowl has been authorised to explore the interior of Object 902-17a.
Incident Details: At 02:27, 22.7.3112 A9.3e2 , Entity 902-17, carrying Object 902-17a, approached Gate Alpha Zero. Security systems alerted Site 14 staff to the existence of the entity on approach, and Site 14 staff set autoturrets to threat detection mode and sent a request for a containment team to nearby Barrack 24.
902-17 attempted to secure entry to Decontamination by reciting an authorisation code not found in any system registry. 902-17 then sat down in front of Gate Alpha Zero as Containment Team 403 assembled at nearby Barrack 24.
Due to the nature of the 902-17, Orkidean Lijja Hälla was attached to Containment Team 403 en route to intercept 902-17. Containment Team 403 intercepted 902-17 at 03:41 with only one incident 902-17-I-0. Transcript follows:

Notes:
Entity 902-17 and Lijja Hälla were both interviewed about 902-17-I-0 by Site 14 Analysts. Despite being nearly identical to each other, both superficially and genetically, neither could identify these similarities, nor what caused their visceral reactions to the other, describing it only as a feeling of “visceral wrongness.” As part of their investigation, Site 14 staff arranged for Lijja Hälla to interview 902-17 face to face. At a critical proximity of 35m to Site 14, Incident 19 (902-17-I-19) occurred. Report of incident has been purged at request of Mid Pointe Grove. Summary follows.
I-19 Summary: Hälla and 902-17 begin simultaneously clawing at themselves automatically. Attempts to restrain them are unsuccessful. Both tear identical wounds across the chest, scalp, thighs, and stomach before Site staff evacuate Hälla. Hälla heals almost immediately, but 902-17 requires medical intervention. Hälla is recalled to Mid Point Grove the next day—reason withheld.
After 17 days, 902-17's wounds heal, but anomalous scars pulsing with dull-silver light are left behind. Site 14 Analysts and Researchers are unable to explain this phenomenon.
Both 902-17-I-0 and 902-17-I-19 ended after Hälla left Critical Proximity (determined to be roughly 150m from 902-17 and/or 902-17a). 902-17-I-1 through 902-17-I-18 were classed as subminor episodes of 902-17 entering a trance-like state for several minutes to an hour, during which subject could be heard speaking in an ancient dialect of Alaþi. After 902-17-I-4, a request was sent to Sãodorovár for further assistance. Mid Pointe Grove responded with procedures considered privileged to the Grove. I-1 through I-18 have been stricken from this record in compliance with Mythic Treaty.
Entity 902-17 and Object 902-17a were separated and placed in separate containment chambers for assessment.
*Cache items, IDs, contents, and descriptions classified O3-N
Conclusion:
902-17 and 902-17a were released into the custody of Atlas Island Sanctuary on 12.12.3112 A9.e2 following receipt of a Mythic Treaty Extradition Order filed with the local Midwinter Temple at Laughlins Reach. Caches retained for further research and are considered property of BSRI. Conclusions of research, analysis, and findings of Site 14 Research Assay are classified O3-N.

Report:
PI 902-17a, as predicted, has fluctuating volume. Assessments of its flux over the extended time frame allowed by Mission Control give it a volume of between 13km3 and 15km3. Its internal substrate appears to be made of some kind of anomalous kinetic sand which gives way to a superstrate of liquid-silk substance that is highly resistant to deformation. 902-17a is lit by luminous bands in the superstrate and ribbons of aetherial lucence. 902-17a has no atmosphere and a FG of 0.12. No detectable GQF exists inside and is devoid of hazards.
The contents of PI 902-17a were limited to seven caches of objects and nothing else. Five of seven caches were extracted, with Caches 6 and 7 unable to be displaced.
Cache 1 contained a single aluminium cylinder with a core sample of unknown material inside, a pair of men’s underwear (soiled), and a heavily corroded ball-point pen.
Cache Recovered
Cache 2 was a single backpack containing an Exclusion Zone Exploratory Mission High-Resistance Black Box, two meal bars, a bottle of water, and a photograph (subjects indiscernible).
Cache Recovered
Cache 3 was a heavily corroded drop canister containing a Site Black Box, a collection of datamass drives, and an analogue tablet computer.
Cache Recovered
Cache 4 contained an Osanometer, a notebook showing signs of intense ageing, an oculus, and a length of climbing rope.
Cache Recovered
Cache 5 contained a collection of bone fragments inside of a toiletry bag.
Cache Recovered
Cache 6 is a single carabeener floating in mid-air.
` Cache 6 could not be recovered
Cache 7 is a single human thigh bone embedded in 902-17a Substrate.
Cache 7 could not be recovered
Substrate Sample: Unrecoverable
Superstrate Sample: Unrecoverable
Attempts to procure substrate and superstrate samples were unsuccessful due to anomalous demanifestation upon containment. Removal of substrate/superstrate materials is thus deemed tentatively impossible. On-site analysis recommended.
Mission Conclusion: Objectives A-D were completed to satisfaction of Mission Control. Extraction was made 91 hours post-insertion, following completion of dimension survey. Resupply was received synchronous with delivery time. No anomalies present, except as mentioned.

ioP98svaifdjfa O \\] accessed gate Alpha Zero at dawn. At this time no Ensemble Storms were forecasted for the day. CA Umudi confirmed readings from the Osanometer were at acceptable limits, with Björn-Boltzman-Gödel Composite GQF Flux consistent at 3.02 Ђ. After receiving confirmation from Monitoring StaAaa0081ki_//////p]] proceeded to climb to the foot of the Spire.
io 90/_] eived communication from Anai Enge that the Osanometer had spiked in readings. For interest of clarity, this Comm Log has been given the designation AComm_00. Transcript follows:

Audits of Moni)))))\ with statements from on-site staff confirm this audio log is of anomalous origin, and that no records of this conversation exist. Director Nosem denies any recollection of authorising continuation of mission at unacceptable GQF levels. While difficult to corroborate, the aftermath of Ensemble Storm A9.e3.041-DZE969048 left sufficient amounts of uncorrupted data from the site’s black box to provide a fairly complete picture of events.
Following GQF Spike (designated Spike 1) on arriving at the feet of the Broken Spire, Lungfish Armadillo began its ascent at the orders of Akara. Umudi’s protests and warnings about the risks go ignored following Emms’ relay of AComm_00.
From this point, records from Lungfish Armadillo incur increasing degrees of anomalous distortions and overwrites.
No further incidents are recorded as Lungfisk Armadilio ascends to Static Cove 71, save for gradual degradation of spaciotemporal integrity, causality disruptions, and distortion of entropic imprints as elevation increases. Annias Emsa contacts Mo/istaor57x-bv0000.| tion of log, and severe continuity corruption. precedes: Transcript

This comms log is the last contact Longwish Armageddon has with Operation Command.
Post-Operation Analysis of Osanometer shows signs of heavy corruption of external media, although, concerningly, internal mechanisms beyond the Shield Wall remain uncompromised. After being reanalysed by technicians from Winters Cloak Imperial Tech Magnate 07, the best working explanation for a reading of 2.45Ђ is an improper reading from technician under the influence of high-strength GQF.
WCITM-07 proposes a GQF of not less than 7.82Ђ—beyond the survivable limit of Banals. It is unclear how Lostway Artaxas was able to survive the intense disruption of a field of this strength. The strongest proposal currently is that Static Cove 701 may generate a GQF Nullification Field—a conjecture proposed in Potential Nullifying Capacitance of Static Cove Glitch Matter Crystallisation and Geometries as Explanation for Persistence in T-GQF Restructuring Events, by Kebengko, Eres, Tusaa, et. al.1
Longwhisk Arecibo decides to make camp at Static Cove 701 under apparent sunrise conditions. This decision is prepostceded by Fork A1 after Akara overdecrides to CA Tumuþi continue the climb. While asleepclimbing their gear dematerialises, resulting in Kyrt Fossa, Anais Ingle, and Viola Davies falling to their deathsthe ground, wakingdividing the team.

Tamuz: Akira! We need to turn back!
Akira: Turn back!? Are you mad!?
Tamuz: Am I mad!? Half the fucking team just disappeared! Gone! Poof! The substrate of reality is falling apart, Akira! We need to go back!
Akira: What’s the Osanometer say!?
Tamuz: Fuck the Osanometer! Damn thing has been acting up since Termsday! You know that as well as I do!
Akira: If the distortion is that bad, we would have all dematerialised by now!
Tamuz: Half the fucking team already dematerialised! Hell, look at the state Lina’s in! She’s barely hanging onto the side of this godsforsaken rock!
Hälling: Akira’s right. We can’t turn back.
Tamuz: You cannot be serious!? After what just happened, you’re taking her side!?
Hälling: There’s no way down. I can feel it in my bones.
Fong: What are you saying, Lina? We’re stuck up here?
Hälling: I think so.
Koh: Oh for fuck’s sake! I knew this was a bad idea! I told all of you climbing up this mountain was a death sentence! I fucking told you!
Akira: Enough! Nobody’s died! Nobody is going to die!
Koh: Then where’d Kurt, Anais, and Viola go!?
Akira: I don’t know! And until I—
[4 seconds of static]
Davies: Oh fuck! What the hell!
Ingle: What just happened?
Koh: Gods above, what’s the matter with you two!?
Fossa: Our shit! It just vanished!
Hälling: What do you mean, vanished?
Fossa: Like, gone. Right out from under us. Look!
Tamuz: The hell…? Where’d it go?
Akira: I’m getting a bad feeling about this.
Tamuz: Maybe we should turn back.
Akira: Maybe. But we don’t know what happened.
Tamuz: Yeah. That’s the point.
Hälling: If things are dematerialising, there may be no way down. We might be seeing the first signs of—
[3 seconds of static]
Akira:—do know, they’re not!
Hälling: Besides, even if they are dead, they must have fallen into—
[Static Cut]
Hälling:—Non-Euclidean Transformations. On top of current Spaciotemporal Distortion, there may be only one way to go.
Akira: Up.
Mission Black Box ceased function shortly after this conversation. Technicians at WCITM-07 confirmed this was due to a catastrophic stack overflow error in the internal, analogue chronosync followed by a subsequent meltdown, rendering the primary computing module inoperable.
From this point, Lostwhich Advance’s progress is recorded by Team Lead Omura Akira in a journal recovered from Cache 06. Full Transcript appended to this report.
Akira’s entries begin on a date recorded as “12th of 7, A9.e3 9404, 15:04” and end on “undetermined date, A9? e4?” Analysis of skeletal fragments recovered from Cache 06 confirm spaciotemporal anomalies resulted in time dilation of varying degrees of severity, with Kurt Fossa receiving the least STADD, with a range of between 100 and 115 Tanno, and Akira receiving the highest STADD at an excess of 15,000 Tanno. (Note: Hall’s STADD has yet to be determined, appearing to be in continuous flux.)
After the initial entry, the quality, and quantity of, Akira’s notes decline considerably and quickly. Of the 49 entries, the 4th, 7th, and 13th are of greatest importance and are included in their entirety below:

Nidia’s gone. Nobody knows where, or even when, she disappeared. It’s not like there’s anywhere she could have gone. This gods damned field goes on forever, is flatter than Tamuz’s ass, and the grass is too short to hide in. We’ve been walking since who knows when. No one knows if a whole rota has passed yet. Time is starting to get real fucked up now. Yesterday…I think it was yesterday…fuck it, in between the last entry and this one, we saw seven sunsets, five sunrises, and half of them while the sun was still directly overhead. Tamuz swears she saw the sun rise only to immediately set on the same horizon. Ever since we went through the opening at the back of SC 24, it’s been like that.
Going back really isn’t an option now, either. The opening that brought us here disappeared the moment we all were through it. There’s no landmarks, no sense of direction, nothing to guide us along. The sun wanders across the sky like it’s taking a psychedelic trip through a sea of booze and it’s a fish made of human. It’s maddening. We’re all going a little bit loose marbles and bouncy balls here.
For how long it feels like we’ve been walking, I can’t lie, it might have been a few Lunes already. Nobody’s able to keep track anymore. Sense of time isn’t the only thing that’s gone. Hunger, thirst, weariness, out the window. You’d think we’d have stopped having to piss and shit somewhere along the way, but no such luck. At least the grass cleans up pretty well.
Lina is on edge. She says she can’t feel the presence of anyone or anything in this place. Goddess, knotworx, even the grass beneath her feet’s gone silent. She’s complained about a persistent headache and hot flashes, but none of us know what to do about it. Anais might have been able to help, but we lost him on the climb from SC 701.
Of all the things I miss, I think sleep is the biggest prick in the back of my mind. Hard to call this place hell, but it really is, and a few hour’s reprieve from it would be real nice right about now. That and Nidia’s constant moaning. Girl wailed like a warbling theramin with a short in the power supply.
We’re continuing on. There’s no other choice, really. The metaphor must go on.
